The reconstructed bridge crossing Shawnee Run on state Route 462 in the Borough of Columbia, Lancaster County, would be known as the Herbert “Cubby” Spiese Bridge.
The designation would be effective in 60 days.
History
Mr. Spiese is a lifelong resident of Columbia Borough who devoted much time and effort over several years to persuade the Department of Transportation and his state representative that the deteriorating bridge needed to be reconstructed.
