EIGHTY FOUR, March 6, 2008 – On March 11 and April 1, state Sen. J. Barry Stout’s district office in Eighty Four will host free tax preparation services for local residents who need help with both their federal and state tax returns, as well as property tax/rent rebate forms.
“We are real pleased to have an IRS-trained volunteer through Community Action Southwest coming to help us out with the federal returns,” Stout said. “That way people can kill two birds with one stone and get both returns done that day, free of charge.”
The filing deadline for both state and federal tax returns is Tuesday, April 15, 2008. The state and federal tax experts will be on hand on Tuesday, March 11, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, April 1, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stout’s Eighty Four district office is located at 1024 Route 519, Suite 400, Eighty Four.
